Year 1
Aims
This course has got two goals. The first one is to revise
your general Englsih and give you an opportunity to build a sound
basis. The second goal is that you learn to
understand English spoken by tourists or written for them. You will of
course improve your tourism specific vocabulary, learn about how
professionals communicate with tourists, learn to write enquiries and
complaints.
Topics covered among others are: images, travel guides, transport,
destinations, safety, travel insurance, travel agents, hotels, types of
tourism, business travel, food experiences, cruising and many more.

Year 2
Aims
The second year course focuses on communication among tourism
professionals. This involves communication through texts such as
various kinds of reports, news, articles (professional and academic) as
well as in more business oriented context.
Topics discussed are among others: image management, tourism's
significance and its impacts, definitions in tourism, tourism reports,
tourism industry news and magazines, research articles in tourism,
careers in tourism, tourism enterprises, e-business in tourism,
managing brands in tourism, prices and trends in tourism, innovations
in tourism.

Year 3
Aims
The third year course takes communication among tourism
professionals further by focusing on more business topics as
well as on issues such as business meetings, negotiations,
presentations and business correspondence. Full time students also work
on a problem-based project.
Topics discussed are among others: public relations in tourism,
cultural awareness in business, global advertising, management styles,
mergers and acquisitions, ethical issues in business, business
meetings, negotiations and presentations and similar.
