Filed Under Assignments, Tourism, Travel, Useful sites/links, Writing | Comments Off
Internet for travel and tourism is a website created for students of tourism that is really worth exploring. It was created by Philip Rowe for Intute.
By following the tutorial and the links on this website, you can learn the things that every serious student of tourism should know about. The tutorial is written in a clear language, well structured and the links it provides broaden your horizons. I’m sure these resources will help you learn about things that matter in the world of travel and tourism and write better assignments.

Portfolio – Refreshing Brand Australia
Filed Under Culture, Destinations, Reading, Tourism, Travel, Writing | Comments Off
Thanks to all those students who informed me that the link to Brand Asutralia’s website was broken. I’m sorry the files are no longer available. The Australians have already changed their branding/marketing strategy. So instead of “a different light” they keep repeating the question “So where the bloody hell are you?”
If you’re interested in the topic, you might find the following sights interesting:
- ‘Australia – a different light’: Govt launches tourism campaign
- The great southern brand
- Framing Australia
- The video
- Tourism Australia’s new marketing campaign
- Tourism Australia’s vision and role
- Selling Australia
However, you could also visit some New Zealand websites and learn about their approach to branding (you remember the “100% Pure New Zealand” slogan?).
- The brand
- New Zealand visual language
- New Zealand New Thiking
- Branding New Zealand
- What is brand New Zealand?
Keep me posted.
